Maybe the rule should be that a cartoon needs to be solely made in Japan to be anime. Not sure if that opens up a whole other can of worms though!

I know y'all think I'm insane now, but I've changed my pick for the final time (draft master's liberties). Promise. I couldn't live myself if I didn't pick this cartoon for the only time I'll probably get a chance to. In fact, half the reason I wanted this to be a shows draft rather than a character one was because of this show! I have no idea how well known it is over this way, but it was fucking massive in France. Not sure if it counts as anime or not, as it was part French made.

That line was fucking epic. I know I'll sound like a right old git, but they definitely don't make cartoons like they used to... a re-imagining of Homer's Odyssey for kids. Love it.

I love how you can immediately get an idea of posters' ages from their first round picks. I barely remember Recess existing and I can only dimly remember Ulysses in retrospect.

There's definitely some mileage in picking shows that went on for a good few years or became franchises in themselves. I watched a lot of Ulysses on French TV, but I also remember it getting a good re-run on Channel 4 in the mid 90s. Recess was on the edge of my 'cartooning' days, but it was a great show as well.

Voltron is another classic. I was watching the intro for that last night. Epic.
