Tom bloody Cleverley. Scott Carson? Stewart Downing? Cahill? Campbell?

I thought the whole point of these things was to pick good players in form... Cleverley has played one game since returning from injury.

It's ridiculous, shoehorning in Walker for the media's sake. Jones will start centre half though.

Scott Carson now settled in obscurity at Buraspor? Is that Turkey? Yet the gap-toothed net monkey still makes the England squad.

Same old shit there.
Manc hyped Cleverly, Spurs hyped Walker, and the pointless Rooney still in there.

Why not try to get used to life without the petulant one? Naaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. Secretly everyone would prefer it if we drew or lost the first two games and then WAZZA comes back and saves us with a hat trick in the final group game. Bah. That's the annoying narrative the media are dying for.

3 Rbs
No Lescott
Cleverly called up after playing all of 60mins of football in 4months
Campbell called up after 3 games in 18 months

I knew Pearce would be shite but that's very pleasing. Cant wait for these lot to get turned over.

Yeah, Henderson has been unlucky considering Cleverly's been out and only came back against Ajax last week. Not surprising though, given how much hype he's had. Surprised Carroll's not in there either considering how he's performed since the start of the year.

Dutch players haven't been great this year, England can beat them. Lot's of injuries as well. Especially our defence is shocking.

Probable line-up

Stekelenburg

Bouhlarouz
Mathijssen
Heitinga
Anita/Emanuelson (Pieters is injured)

Strootman/De Jong/Vd. Vaart
v. Bommel
Sneijder

v. Persie/Kuyt
v. Persie/Huntelaar
Robben

I don't expect much, I only hope some of Maher, Strootman, Ola John (Little brother of Collins John), Narsingh, Wijnaldum will get a chance.

Especially our defence is shocking.
It doesn't look good on paper, although apart from Heitinga, I haven't seen much of them since the world cup. Still think you would be favourites with that front three, and the midfield can be very good on it's day. Van Bommel, Sneijder and Van der Vaart  - in a deeper role - destroyed Sweden in the qualifiers, but that was some time ago though.

You mentioned injuries, I assume Van der Wiel is one of them? Looked a decent player when I've watched him, especially going forward.
