You think they'll make it to general sale?

Tue Sep 17          TBC       Season Ticket Holders          Forthcoming                    Available to all Season Ticket Holders.

Typical Lpool like, with plenty staying over at Swansea on Monday night

Wont this sale take place more than a day?

We have got around 9000 tickets.  The capacity of the upper East Stand is 6200 in addition to the normal away section which is around 3000.   The ticket office doesn't release the full allocation for sale, tickets go to sponsors, corporate allocation etc.

I thought we had 9,000 for the FA Cup game in January 2011?

Due to Old Trafford's capacity, Man U are 'exempt' from the 15% rule.

Ah ok thanks.

We did, same areas as this time. Check out our away allocations against the official capacity of the sections for most aways and you will see what I mean.

Allocation of areas has been reduced for night game but not by 20%. They won't release 1800 to sponsors, etc.

Man Utd have special dispensation against this requirement.

Aye, they can't have our traveling fans singing too loud, as it might give us an advantage, injure Moyes' ego, shake the foundation of OT, and scare the united fans/players. Thus the reduced allocation is for safety reasons. (And to avoid a mental breakdown by their manager)
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

to be honest 150 Fulham fans make more noise at Old Trafford, 7,500 kopites will shake the foundations of that place, if the flying seats and bogs doesn't that is!!

Haha me and my Uni mate (who I converted in to an avid Liverpool fan when he joined Uni, he didn't watch much football before) are going and if Liverpool win I don't think we'll able to contain ourselves, especially if Suarez scores against them.

Anyone else expecting a united penalty following that appointment? Hope he keeps his eye on the diving trio of evra, welbeck and young (and Valencia for good measure after his dive in last years home prem game)

Not Ilori, he's still too brittle. We've also got 4 centerbacks fighting for playing time who are ahead of him (agger/sakho, toure/skrtel) who should get the nod. I like the enthusiasm to get him involved though but away to man utd might not be the best debut locale for a young centerback.

Allen 100%, kelly would be quite likely.

Nah mate, I've got seats in their end too and I can't wait - the atmosphere generated by our boys is going to be amazing and while I'd love to join in, listening to it live and seeing the reaction of the mancs around me when we win is going to do just fine!

We will be over the hill and far away by this time, got a really good feeling about this one, going for 3-1, the only fans left in their seats at the end will be Scousers behind enemy lines.   As an aside they are struggling to sell out, plenty of seats left!

From the thread on the tickets page

http://www.spiritofshankly.com/news/dialogue-with-greater-manchester-police

The best part is the bit saying that banners will be allowed in the away end on Wednesday night.  Love it if we can fill that end with some classic, and new, banners.
