Oh my lord.........

I'm just wondering whether he started all of this negativity as a fishing trip, but now it's gotten out of hand and he has to keep it up or look silly.

It'll be better for them to concede first, then they'll attack and we'll crumble because we get complacent and simply just can't defend.

We've taken the lead and then lost ONCE this season you clueless melt.

You're spot on mate. The way we crumbled at the Emirates and Stamford Bridge was a fucking disgrace.

We've had a dodgy 2 games whereby we've still scored 5 goals. We're away to a side who aren't too fond of coming forward, if we can get ourselves ahead then I'm pretty confident we'll go on and win comfortably. Then no doubt everyone will be talking us up to win the league again.

If only we still had his idol Lazar Markovic at the club, that boy was made of steel and could really have helped us see out games!

He made the prediction before the Bournemouth game about not being able to hold onto a lead, he had about five people saying 'Lazar was right' in the post match thread and now he thinks he's bulletproof and is just trolling to a much higher level because he thinks he can get away with it.

Textbook really to be fair.

It will be a bit strange if they don't attack us considering it's our weakness. Surely they know if they sit back they'll eventually concede.

That was my thinking but knowing our luck at the Riverside they'll look like full flow Barcelona tonight.

What luck at the Riverside? The last time we even played there was fourteen years ago, which is a long time in football. Half our team were still in primary school at the time.

edit - last time was seven years ago, but the point is that these games were years ago and don't reflect the teams in 2016.

Expect this to be like Sunderland at Home - they'll park the bus and we'll probably have to deal with a few counter attacks, but ultimately we'll break them down. Patience is the key. We need to get Mane, Bobby, Adam, Divock on the ball in their box - this ref gives pens!

I forgot about that, but the point still stands, it's a whole seven years ago. If we were losing there fairly often, I might be worried, but results from seven and fourteen years ago aren't really going to reflect the game tonight.

We let it get to 3-4 so we did a decent job of trying to fuck it up, Chelsea we did mostly well but Costa should've made it 2-2.

You're right, what will reflect the game tonight is our recent defensive and goalkeeping performance. That's the key.

Both of those teams have had great form this season, as have we, and we took three points off of both them.

I've not missed the point and I've responded to it a few times by saying that Moreno has made those mistakes game after game. He's not improved those aspects of his game which is why people criticise him as it's annoying.

Milner made the same errors but it's pretty much a one off which is why the criticism isn't as bad. Other than that game he's been solid while still providing an attacking outlet. He's got almost as many assists this season as the 'better attacking' Moreno has in his Liverpool career.

People were saying the same about Clyne earlier in the season, arguing that if it was Moreno making the same errors he's get crucified but once again Clyne has improved and isn't making them anymore. Big difference.
Although I agree with most of what you have to say, I do not think it is quite that simplistic comparing Milner under a Klopp team and a Moreno under a Rogers team. If what you say is correct- why has Moreno not been binned by Klopp. Milner was first choice LB and Moreno has not featured much in the league. Moreno has not been given the opportunity to improve and rightly so as Milner has been good on the whole. So what you are saying is that Moreno has been consistently crap and has not shown sufficient improvement- therefore that is why he gets the criticism. Milner on the hand has been consistently good but for a few mistakes- therefore has enough credit to avoid a barrage of criticism. Generally, if factually correct I would agree with it. BUT you do miss my point as I have repeatedly said that I am not comparing Moreno to Milner. The point I am making is that Karius albeit shaky in some games leading to the Bournemouth game was made the scapegoat where the reality was that both Milner and Lovren were more culpable. Milner's mistakes were comparable to Moreno's "horror" show against Arsenal and for which he got slated. The media and fans chose to scapegoat Karius when they could have gone after either Milner or Lovren. You are making it a duel between Moreno and Milner.

You go to Stamford Bridge every season expecting to concede chances it's wether or not you came come away with the points. Same goes for the Emirates.

I cannot believe we're not allowed to have a Karius thread on here.
It's the most talked about issue right now, and it's easily one of the most pertinent selection issues ahead of the next game.

What does it say about this forum that we can't even debate it?

A lot of the Karius stuff is media led nonsense.

Firmino is the key. If we put him into position to get on the ball and get his rhythm we'll have too much for these. It would also bode well for the upcoming games till Phil gets back.

Guess it depends what you as a fan want from the season.  A race for 2nd / 3rd or a proper crack at Chelsea and see if they can handle the pressure when they have their blip.

I know what I want.
