Hughes is a woeful manager. He's like some 13 year old kid playing Football Manager.

He doesn't play Crouch all year then gets him out against a side that is claimed to be shit in the air. I mean there are another 5-10 sides who are weaker than us in that department but you never see him pull out Crouch for them. He just going by what the media feeds him.

One of the worst managers in this league.

Or maybe he's rotating his squad in a busy period like most good managers?

That's what I think.

You have to prioritise.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

He's looked out of sorts for a while so wouldn't be a shock if dropped

I was referring more towards as a result of the incident of which we may not speak.

Their tactics are obvious. It'll probably come down to how we defend the very few moments they get in our box from hoof flick-ons, diagonals and set pieces. Do it badly and it could be one of those games where it ends 2-2 with us having 25 shots to their 3. Just hope if we get a lead we keep on playing and not drop back and invite balls into our box. Too many times this season we just drop our intensity when leading and give the opponent a chance they don't deserve.

The Ev's hoofball was a good warmup for Klavan and Lovren here.
stoke don't really do hoofball anymote, thanks to mark hu hughesthen again, I've just seen crouch is starting so maybe they're looking to go route 1 to beat our press

Maybe I'm out of touch with mid-lower table football but doesn't that bench look stronger than half their first team :D Adam, Krkij, Shaqiri, Bony? I don't want to be playing against any of those to be honest.

Also, how is Glen Johnson still a Premiership footballer? He looked absolutely shot in his final season here I thought.

Some more Billy Shakespeare just to get us fired up

Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest Scousers.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in Liverpool, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Kenny, Jurgen, and Saint John!'

"I want to build a team that's invincible, so that they have to send a team from bloody Mars to beat us."

He's not rotating.  He knows Migs struggles with balls into the box which is the only reason to play Walters and Crouch.  Expect a bombardment of long, high, hoofball today.

Have to be really careful against Martins Indi, the lad has pace to burn and can hurt us if he gets in behind.

Expect Lovren and Klavan to deal with a lot of long balls today aswell, fingers crossed we don't think this will be easy.

Isn't Martins Indi their centre back?.. I doubt he'll be getting in behind with his pace..

Im sure there was a joke in there somewhere, subtle reference to the indycar or whatever it's called.. or maybe im giving him too much credit and he's got his players messed up.  :)

They're not going to get a lot of success if they haven't got the ball. As long as we don't play deep then they'll be relying on set pieces and mistakes on our part.

Laughable lineup from Hughes. Picks aerial targets but strips them of the players who can supply the passes. No use looking for knock downs from Crouch if you're packed in your own half and he's standing on the half way line.

If we assert ourselves at the start of the game we should win comfortably. We can't let them off for this nonsense.

With Crouch & Walters its obvious they want to bypass the midfield, though I think we are worse against pace. As always its about what we do, if we play our natural game then we will win comfortably. If we start thinking about City we will find it difficult.

Probably won't happen but i'd like to see Firmino and Origi switched. Firmino is half the player out wide and Origi has to ability to come inside and curl shots into the far corner.
I wanna be like Jurgen Klopp
