We have to be clinical, we'll get chances and we'll have to take them, as I expect them to score at least one.

Fernandinho at Right Back?? Could be the game where Coutinho rediscovers his old self..

Coutinho vs Fernandinho or Sterling vs Milner.. both match ups favour us I would say.?

Surely thats gonna be a back 3 with Fernandino next to Toure?

Otherwise no midfield for city.

So basically 5-0 to either team!  :D

Yep it'll be a 3-2-4-1 or a 2-4-3-1 in possession.

Delighted Yaya is playing.

He'll hate Lallana buzzing round him with his energy, pressing ability and movement.

Shame Lovren couldn't make the first 11 but great to see Bobby make it !

Origi on the bench too if needed.

COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS !!  :scarf

Glad Kalavan got the nod. Been good for us of late.

Peps only gone full Ardiles  on us. Anything could happen.  But we should control midfield if we're at it.

Sterling/Milner favours them. What may favour us is how often they can actually get Sterling 1v1 with Milner and whether they can set him up with the right pass from the right angle.

Sane vs Clyne is more of an issue given the way Mane 'cheats' and the way Lallana breaks the line to go and press. It wouldn't surprise if Sterling causes more danger at the back post than in direct 1v1s.

Whoa! Pep is going all in on the first hand. Got to be careful not to over-extend our full backs, but we should find some nice spaces to attack.

Can't imagine they will play Fernandinho at RB and Toure as their defensive midfielder. No way.

If City are on their game and can play out and get around or through our press then we'll be in trouble with all those attacking players. If they're little off their game and play into our press then we should be able to create lots of opportunities. Either way there should be goals.

Quietly encouraged that TAA and Woodburn are consistently making the bench these days.

Good signs that hopefully our academy is finally up and running again.

May well be a mix. Back four when they defend, with Fernandinho moving inside when they have possession.

City have pretty much outplayed all the big teams at home but their shite defence means that they only won 1 of those 3 games. Should be an exciting match but i think it will be more of a typical away where its difficult for us rather than out usual ones where we dominate.

It's not the first time they've lined up like that, in fact, it's been a constant line up for the last several months.

Can't imagine they will play Fernandinho at RB and Toure as their defensive midfielder. No way.
Toure's been playing as the pivot recently and Fernandinho has had games at RB this season.

I think it's most likely that Fernandinho plays a hybrid RB/DM role, although a straightforward '3-2' with him and Toure as the double pivot would be interesting.

Can't say how they have lined up. I just find it so strange.

It's not so different from his Barca days. Yaya Toure used to play that role for Barca before Busquets came in. And then they've got Silva and De Bruyne instead of Xaxi and Iniesta.

From what Pep was saying after the Monaco game where they play the same system is that he thinks if they believe in their attack and get the momentum then they won't have to defend very much at all.

Shame that Lovren cannot start thoughKlavan was excellent against Arsenal so maybe he likes playing against more attacking sides! Glad that Firmino is back, the Brazilian combination has worked against them in previous games.

It will be a huge win if we can pull it off, we can score, its just a matter of keeping them quiet at our end.

6 in the League.and he hasn't scored against us in what 4 or 5 games ;)

I'll concede that he has improved his goals to shots ratio this season.
