Just look at where we have finished in the league since Rafa's last season with us. With the exception of 13/14 (which was the best ever league "experience" I ever had with us, even better than 01/02 and 08/09 seasons), I think it is fair to say we've been pretty disappointing in the league for 7 years. Yes, theres a chance where we won't make Champions League football for next season, but we're currently in 3rd place. A 12 points swing from last season! (after 31 games). In fact, we have just matched our points total of 60 with 7 games to go.
Whats more... just remember who our manager is.. it's Jurgen Klopp! I cannot even think of another manager in the whole of British football I'd rather have than Klopp. He had us playing some of the best attacking football I've ever seen us play. Yes, we are having some problems breaking some teams down at the moment but only very little teams in history doesn't!
With regards to transfer, Klopp managed to sign these players this season:
Matip - First team
Wijnaldum - First team
Mane - First team
Karius - First team/For the future
Grujic - For the future
Klavan - For depth
Manninger - For depth
3 out of 4 players that we expected to be 1st team players improved our first XI by a large margin and no one can convince me otherwise.
As for the Jan transfer window, Klopp himself says that it is usually difficult and that "if the right decision is not possible in signing the right player, then you cannot make the wrong transfer."
This is the manager who also said: "I can promise that before we sign a player who isn’t a lot better than what we already have we will always use our own boys. That’s how the future should be, even in the crazy football transfer world. We want to be this special club."
So you just know, if Klopp breaks the bank to get anyone, it is someone that he thinks will improve us no end.
So to answer the question, yes. I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying it very much!!
