Also if Torres plays, which I fully expect, he's going to be a non-factor. Cheslea would be better off not playing him.

Off to the bookies now then.

Agger hasn't travelled apparently, so I doubt he's playing.

Well done watch him bang in a hat trick now

League, 0405 56 67 78 89 910 11 =13
Champions league, 05, groups in 0506, 07 09 =8
League cup, final 05, this year = 2
FA Cup, 06 =1
Community shield 06 = 1

Thats 25. Im guessing ive missed some more cup games?

According to Sky sports so wouldn't be surprised if they're wrong mate.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

:)

It's probably not a good idea to play Torres against Liverpool. I mean our defenders know him well and whenever he's played against us he's been ineffective.

He's only played against us twice, once for 70 min once for 10 min.

Coates might play though, and Carra would too. Not the most quickest of pairings by any means.

This is incredibly our 30th time playing Chelsea since 2004.
Terry is suspended and Meireles is cup-tied for them.

Crazy.

No wonder we've built up such hate for each other.

We played them in the League Cup in 2007 I think. They won 2-0 at their place.

Not sure, but since 2004 may as well include games overseen by Houllier. Think we had a 0-1 victory at their place in jan 04 with a Cheyrou goal, if memory serves me right.
It's just sex and violence, melody and silence.

Add champions league in 08 as well. Riise OG.

Thats 27.

Can remember a league cup game where Shevchenko scored. (0708)

28.

If you add a league game at the beginning of 2004 (before rafa and mourinho) makes 29. So im missing one somewhere. Annoying.

If Chelsea are playing kids, and I'd imagine they probably will given that they have Newcastle away and a CL decider in the next 8 days, then if we play anything resembling a first team we have a real chance.

Depending on the condition of the players might be worth playing Suarez, Lucas, Adam etc.  You would expect Bellamy and Maxi to be definites.

We have Fulham next Monday so that may influence the selection too.

Have any 2 teams from the big leagues played against each other that much apart from us?! Kinell......

Hoping some get a well deserved rest, but that we put out a blend of first teamers and others who deserve a chance, something like:

Reina
Kelly Carra Coates Aurelio
Henderson Spearing Adam/Lucas
Maxi Carroll Bellamy

The key of course is to get players who are first team quality but didn't play 90 on Sunday in the side.

Has Bellamy travelled?

Don't think so- its regarded as the most contested fixture among the big leagues/biggies.

Any chance that Coady will play? I think Jay should start but Lucas, Hendo and Adam all need a rest after Sunday. Tricky one, at least one of them will play I would have thought.

Ecceleston's got a good chance of being on the bench I reckon.

I repeat, ECCLESTON. NOT ECCLESTONE.

Suarez and Lucas are the only 2 I feel needs the rest the most and I'd rest Agger .

Agree thats the most likely depending on Aurelio's fitness.  Not so sure on Adam/Lucas but couldn't tell you who would replace them.

No Torres? Not wanting to carry on what's going on in the Torres thread but he didn't start on Saturday, it would be very surprising if he didn't start today.

unless they've made up their mind to sell him and don't want him getting injured before the window opens?
