Very happy for him. Don't like his radio presenting or his TV appearances at all but that's just personal opinion. Very good news.

He's been doing his Radio 5 Saturday show for the past for 3 weeks. His voice sounds slightly different/strained which his hardly surprising considering what he's been through (he has no saliva glands or tastebuds following his radiotherapy treatment and he can still only eat via an Intravenous tube) but pleased to report he's as quick witted and entertaining as ever.

The best Radio broadcaster in Britain by a country mile in my opinion....it's great to have him back.

Well i didnt know that , glad he's back so soon - didnt bother checking for the last month or so - can't be doing with Christian O'Connell

Good to see other fans of Danny on the board, it honestly surprises me when I hear criticism of his (particularly radio) broadcasting style.

I may well have posed this link before, its to a variety of his old shows but the pick must be the old Talkradio shows with Danny Kelly. The ones on the site are from early 98 through to 99, there is a whole run of shows after the debacle in France and Hoddles book where they rip into Hoddle, the players, Eileen Drawery, John Gorman, the FA so much, so accurately and viciously, you wouldnt hear it done on the radio now.

As with all Dannys show, they may 'called' Football phone-ins but they veer all over the place.

Thing about Danny baker is that I can listen to him and really enjoy him for a few programs and then he really begins to grate and I hav eto give him a break for a couple of years.

Glad he is doing ok. His saturday morning show is a quite compelling piece of media, and it seems to me he deffo has a style all of his own which is refreshing.

He is a very clever and funny man. Remember when he turned up for 5 minutes on the BBC's World Cup coverage? He made Lineker etc look like the beige stooges they are.
