Sergio Ramos
« on: November 29, 2010, 11:47:10 pm »
:lmao :lmao :lmao

Was truly shocked at how highly he was rated here (and some were saying Johnson ain't in his league , bla bla).

Atrocious defender and attitude overall, only looks good in NT, because of the Barca players there, and still manages to cost his team (As he did the confederations cup).

Nowhere near the top 5 RBs in the world, Alves the best.

Caught by Ramos.

(Well someone was going to weren't they?)
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.

No.

Real Madrid fans want him outta RB spot.

Arbeloa has a higher stock there, Mou knows he sucks as RB, hence chasing for Maicon this summer.

want to move him to CB to see if he can finally play decent against good opposition (not nobodys like Getafe or Racing)

He was outclassed today in every possible way.

Should get extra punishment for the kick on Messi which was just stupid and violent.

End of the day he's a very good player, but not world class. When he plays bad like today he's shocking.

not shit but no where near top 5 in world
Two bulls, one old and one young, standing at the top of a field watching a herd of cows. The young one says, "hey let's run down and fuck one of them", and the older one says, "patience, let's walk down and fuck them all".

Can I ask behind Alves and Maicon who are the other top 5 RBs in the world, clearly Sagna, Neville or Rafael, Bosingwa, Abate, Motta and Cassetti are not in the top 5 RBs in the world, we have one in Johnson who maybe on Ramos' level BTW, but to say Ramos isn't one of the top five RBs in the world is just ridiculos

It weren't just him tonight though.

The Real Madrid back four were under pressure and pulled all over the place tonight. From as early as the 4th minute. Don't see why a fullback should take the flak for what was....an all round disaster.

I can't think of a single Madrid player who done themselves any sort of justice.

Hmmm, true. He did do ok. As a defender though....you're more likely to win more tackles than you lose. The law of averages meant he was able to get the odd tackle....interception...header!!

BTW I won't blame him for what he did tonight, same result but replace Barca with Utd, Real with us, Messi with Rooney, Puyol with Rio, Xavi with Scholes, Ramos with Carra and we'd have defended him(Carra) saying how he refuse to lose and get humilated and how he is passionate rather than just putting his head down, shacking hands and driving home like a loser.

He got caught in the incident and I'm sure tommorrow morning he'll apologize to Messi, Xavi and Puyol.

Pique BTW started this incident with his childish attitude but nobody is mentioning it.

Sagna and Lahm, they are both defensively very solid...surely will be in my top 5

Alves
Lahm
Sagna
Maicon
Johnson

Lahm and Sagna are very under-rated, and I am Johnson's biggest fan.

Rafael looking very brilliant, and can be up there in 2-3 years (sadly)

I think both were in the wrong. I know in some cases team mates clash and don't see eye to eye but Spain have been successful in recent years and the national team spirit has always seemed to be good.

puyol and the rest of the barca team were being twats tonight too. this place would go into meltdown if united were ever such dick heads, surrounding the referee at every opportunity, trying to get people booked and set off for nothing and then starting fights over the tiniest bit of contact. they're just like arsenal in the way they like to think of themselves of the victim (cos they play nice football) yet when it comes down to it, they're every bit as bad as the uniteds/madrids of this world.

xavi's a bellend for going back on the pitch to stir shit up too. thinks he's entitled to do what he wants, but is a petulant little twat when he wants to be

10000000 times better defensively.

1000000000 times.

Sagna is the only Arsenal player who'll get into their invincibles side, saves their sorry ass defense on numerous occasions.

Lahm is the right balance of defense and attack..... Mr Consistent

DId you see Arsenal vs Barca last year or Bayern vs Barca two years before in the CL, they were as bad as Ramos was today if not even worse, Lahm isn't that consistent as well and neither is Sagna.

Thanks for your amazing argument.

Do you guys even watch him?

I rarely ever see him beaten in 1 vs 1s, Bale beat him once last week, and he had a bad game vs WBA.

Also chips in with a lot of assists.

Lahm didn't play in 4-0 game mate, and Messi raped Lell (their LB that night).

Sagna wasn't the reason Arsenal got raped last year, it was Ferguson's agent...

well, I mean, there was a reason Mourinho was desperate to get Maicon, true to say Maicon is better than Ramos, but if Ramos is really top 5, why would he wanna switch him outta position to replace him with someone marginally better lol

I'm pretty sure Lahm played in one of the two games and he was caught a lot of times, he is a good player but he defenitely isn't better than Ramos, Lahm has his days too and if you watch the BundesLiga weekly you'll find that this year he was caught out of position too many times expcially against Mainz and Dortmund, and don't forget his mistake at the Euro's final which led to Torres' goal.

And BTW who is Ferguson's agent.

Sagna is up there defensively, not entirely convinced by his work in the final third though, final ball is often lazy.

Lahm is better than Ramos, Ramos has all the attributes to be a top class defender, but he has too many lapses in concentration, Lahm is just wonderful.

Let's be honest, Lahm shits on Ramos from a great height. Sagna vs. Ramos makes for a decent argument though.
