Said when it was first reported that I'd not be surprised to see the 4th Year as an option.

Only £110k a week too, almost makes you wonder why some posters don't wait until more concrete info comes out before getting all moany about things.

But then what do they moan about!?

Or FSG.
Probably both.

That was Zidane-like the way he controlled the ball and played it through with the outside of the boot. What an unbelievable show of composure from him.

He's gone up several levels as a player under Klopp.

He was absolutely immense today, ran himself into the ground and the work he did to set us away for the third goal was incredible.

Phenomenal all game. Such a hard worker too.

The touch, the circle around the defender and the ball for our third goal were exquisite.

He's so important to this team.

Best central midfielder in the league and it's really a shame we don't go through him way more, Mignolet had a another hoof show with 28 long balls completing only 38% of his passes. Had we gone through Gini and Lallana more we would have created more chances of higher quality and probably repeated the 13/14 scoreline. Oh well...

Agreed. Picked the pocket of a few Arsenal lads but then was sloppy with some bread and butter passes, but he made the vital through ball to divock and 3 points is ours.

I thought that the hoofing was generally a tactical decision to try to exploit Arsenal's high line. Quite a few of the players were doing it.

Yep, he's a bit like Firmino in that he does some sensational stuff but sometimes doesn't do the easy things well enough. Tonight though he was excellent. He's pressing was top notch.

He played less well in an attacking sense in the second half. But for me he worked tirelessly in defence, how many balls did he get back and clear? Covered every blade of grass, then that pass in the third goal, a genius touch it was.

He is probably the only player in the league who takes that touch on the edge of our box following Matip's block. Everyone else in the world is just thinking 'womp it!' in that situation . Instead he sets in motion a thing of absolute beauty.

It's actually mad how much he's transformed under Klopp, he was the best player on that pitch tonight!
Chased down every ball and his hold up play and patience/calmness for the 3rd goal was exceptional!

It's arguably his first good game of 2017 but what a game it was. Outstanding today in most aspects. Truly remarkable play on the third goal.

To be fair, he was class for Southampton when they get promoted and on par with his current performances.

He's one of our best players in the team, also a key player for us, he links our midfield and attack.

I think he's the best presser we have in the team, and technically is a very good footballer. Love watching him play

Most improved English player for the past year. I think he's taken a few weeks to get back upto full fitness (which I also think is what is holding Phil back), but today he was outstanding.
Their are two aspects of his game that he can build on though. First when he tracks back he has a tendency to jump in, instead of backing up the defender. Gives up free kicks and sometimes just getting in the way of the defender. And if he was a threat to score around the edge of the box, defenders would need to play him differently, leaving more space for him to play others in.
