I have an XL available which is still in the plastic bag and unused with tags. I didn't like the material in the re-release because its nothing like the original and its too hot for me to wear.

If you are interested, let me know...don't mind re-selling it as I won't ever use it.

I am, you in Aus though?

Is the re-release that much different from it?

I've got the re-release so don't want to splash out for something i've already got.

I only have 1 of the originals and it's framed up on my study wall.

There are some on sale on ebay last I checked 2 days ago.

Looks reasonably priced.

Also the away kits on the sellers page as well for 85-86, and 86-87..and that ultra rare yellow third kit from 1986

Anyone know where I can get a 2005 home shirt with the Champions League embroidery for a good price?

Edit:  Anyone have a high resolution/good quality image of the embroidery used in the CL final, if so I would be able to print it off and take it to a local sewing company and ask them to do it on a plain 2005 shirt?

Yes its an M. DM me.

Oh man I thought it was impossible to get this shirt now... can you email me or something kb2x if Kenneth doesn't want to buy it any more? Anyone else wanting to sell one of these shirts?
Is it the sort of replica adidas one with the 7 on the back, or the actual shirt from the 80s??

Anyone know if it is possible to iron these on to a sleeve on a shirt.  Purchased a 2005 shirt, going to get Istanbul embroidery sewed on to it at a local shop but they don't do ironing for patches so wondering if it's possible to do with a standard iron?

yes, you can iron them one - just make sure you use a cotton tea towel between the patch and the shirt to avoid burning. Turn off steam setting. Place patch in place - double check its in the right place, put towel over and iron on - try 20 secs and check. Keep ironing/checking until the edges are stuck fast. Always keep the towel between the iron and patch. I put a square of card larger than the patch in the sleeve to protect it. Once the edges are held fast turn the sleeve inside out and repeat. Make sure you have the towel between the iron and the shirt!
One thing - the patch in the photo is the 08/11 patch not the one from 2005. If you want an original then you can find them still on ebay but expect to pay a premium for them. Reasonable copies can be got from one or 2 places in the far east for 5/6 quid. The 2005 starballs don't have a solid black centre star.
Did you find somewhere to do the embroidery?

Great mate, thank you so so much, not too concerned about the patch myself, it's just getting framed and put in my house so...

Got the shirt from 2005 off eBay for £8.50  8) when that arrives along I'm taking it to the local sewing shop where they can sew the Istanbul final embroidery on for around £7 so all in all, I'm a happy bunny :)

Alot better than paying £50 for the same thing off the net  8)

Good luck - I had to pay a lot more than that just to get the Liverbird digitised. One more thing - don't iron over the little playdry sticker on the sleeve just below where the patch will go as chances are you'll remove bits of it!

Anyone know if it is possible to iron these on to a sleeve on a shirt.  Purchased a 2005 shirt, going to get Istanbul embroidery sewed on to it at a local shop but they don't do ironing for patches so wondering if it's possible to do with a standard iron?

From a similar thread, a couple of months ago.

Get yourself two plain white cotton handkerchiefs (coloured will do, as long as they have been well washed or used before).
Alternatively, cotton pillow cases.

Put your iron on it's hottest setting(cotton) -  ( no steam ).

Spread out the shirt to reveal the area for the patch to be affixed, usually the sleeve. And get the area as flat as possible. Place one of the folded hankie/pillowcases inside the sleeve and flatten. Use the other handkerchief/pillow case on top and iron the sleeve flat.

Carefully place the patch in possition( carefully !  There's no second chance once heat is applied).

Place the hankie/pillow case over the patch and iron for about ten seconds whilst applying some downdard pressure onto the iron/shirt.

Remove the top hankie, and let cool for about ten-fifteen seconds( blow or use a fan).

Carefully use your fingernail along the edge to see if the patch has fully adhered.  If it hasn't, then repeat process.

Once it's fully stuck lift sleeve away from lower hankie/pillow case to make sure none of the adhesive has travelled through (very unlikely with propper lextra patches etc).

Then cool off the shirt by wafting it around for a minute or two. There you go!

NOTE: With these types of patches, you should not wash the shirt for 24-48 hours after applying the patch, in order that the adhesive fully cures.

If the patch has a protective film on it, just use it with the film intact as that is how it's supposed to be used. After applying the patch, peel the film off carefully as the patch is cooling down(still warm to hot), but not too cool or cold, as they tend to stick.
