With Rodgers gone, I guess we can start discussing who will replace him. My money's on Klopp. Although Ancelotti would be a good shout too.

Here's the Sky Sports odds:

I'd be ecstatic with both but I'd like Ancelotti.

Get in Klopp or Ancelotti, anyone else and there really wasn't a reason to sack Rodgers.

Have to agree with this. Can't think of anyone else who is available that would be better than those two.

I think it will be Klopp. Ancelotti will be good (possibly better) but I unsure if he was keen.

We definitely need to make a statement with whomever we choose. I'm sure players will be hoping for one of those two as well. If we can get Ancelotti it will go a long way to attracting bigger names come January.

Ancelotti doesn't have history of managing a club like ourselves. Have to go as far back to Parma, but from what i remember they were heavily financed then.

Klopp is the best fit.

Ancelloti would be my favourite replacement, but Klopp would be great too. If it's either of them I'm thrilled.

Other than those? Favre?

I like how Ancelotti got Chelsea to score over 100 goals in 09/10 but I don`t see him promoting or having time for our youngsters. This team needs a young coach a next best thing with sophisticated tactical ideas to make up for that financial gap, Ancelotti is a box office manager who prefers working with established ready made players - I`m not sure he`s the perfect fit but we can do worse than him no doubt.

Just to go with something different.

Is there anything to be said for Simeone? I think he's a very Liverpool esque type manager.

be nice if the OP listed the ones available / tappable

Some of us have been drinking for hours now ;)

Out of what i know is available i'd hang my helmet on klopp due to the fact if he does well we may have continuity (irony alert noted) whereas the rerst seem proven journeymen.

Hopefully the club knows best

If it's another young manager, then I don't see he point of getting rid of Rodgers...

It'd be nice to have a ready made manager like Ancelotti. No doubt he'd come straight in and we'd start winning matches. Can anyone imagine finishing lower than fifth with Ancelotti in charge? I can't, he's a winner.

Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

It's not often you get rid of a manager and have two world class managers without jobs. I would be extremely happy with either of them. My slight preference would be for Klopp, only because he's about 10 years younger than Ancelotti and might have just that bit more drive managing in a new league. By no means does that mean I think Ancelotti wouldn't give his all, but I think you'll understand what I mean.
