Love. What is it?
« on: January 20, 2017, 04:31:09 pm »
Yes second topic today and the first blert to use a 'Haddaway' reference will be subjected to The Dalek...

Ok, as some of you may know, over a long period i have been battling a rather nasty addiction that has almost killed me etc. I go to group sessions , counselling and other meetings to get a better grip of the situation. I sat at one meeting with one of the workers and when i said that although ive tried this 4 times before , this last time ( the 5th ) was different. I said something feels so much better and so different and he asked me what was different. He said there must be something. I replied i have no idea why i feel so much more confident , whats changed from the other times but something has clicked. I told him i couldnt give a definitive answer as i just dont know. He said try and tell me.

I turned round and said ' do you love your wife ' He said yes and i asked why he said lots of things so i replied with ' but you dont know exactly what, its just lots of things. Nothing concrete per se ' He agreed.

So guys, over to you.  :wave

Tsk, it should be Howard Jones references, not Haddaway...

Quote
I love you whether or not you love me
I love you even if you think that I don't
Sometimes I find you doubt my love for you
But I don't mind
Why should I mind
Why should I mind

What is love anyway
Does anybody love anybody anyway
What is love anyway
Does anybody love anybody anyway

Can anybody love anyone so much that they will never fear
Never worry never be sad
The answer is they cannot love this much nobody can
This is why I don't mind you doubting

What is love anyway
Does anybody love anybody anyway
What is love anyway
Does anybody love anybody anyway

And maybe love is letting people be just what they want to be
The door always must be left unlocked
To love when circumstance may lead someone away from you
And not to spend the time just doubting

What's that got to do with it ?

Love is you able to be yourself with someone else. You can be honest and you can be you.

If you can't be that with someone then it's not love.

Love is a relationship, a language, and a vessel you're in.

Sometimes people think love is something you aim or direct... But if it's not returned is it true?

Met them in New Brighton once, in a bowling alley.  Was dead funny, they weren't even that famous at their height, but they all came in individually to be less conspicuous.  Whatever happened to gomez?  Too much, too soon.
