I usually stay at the Harrah's properties. I've stayed at the Linq (avoid at all costs), Harrahs (pretty decent) and Planet Hollywood (My favorite so far) This is only cause I usually get comped at each place and my hotel is usually free for 4/5 days. So accommodation is $0.

The MGM is a decent shout for going with a bunch of mates.

The Wynn and the Bellagio are my two favourite ones to stay at.

Others I have been fortunate/unfortunate to stay at include: The Excalibur, the Luxor, Treasure Island, Planet Hollywood,  Circus Circus, and Caesar's
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

My friend stayed at the Luxor and didn't like it. My parents stayed at Circus Circus they said it was ok. My other friend stayed at the renovated Flamingo and hated it.

If you get the chance, try the Aria Sky Suites next time (lowcostusa.co.uk had the best prices).  Free limo to & from McCarran, private check in area, free pastries, nibbles, water, wine in the private lounge area & the best room bar none I have ever stayed in.  The living room alone was bigger than my MGM rooms!  You also get access to the private Sky Pool, which isn't as crowded as the others.  Definitely worth the upgrade if you get the chance.

Same reason I will only stop at MGM properties, although I must say none of the Harrah's properties appeal to me.  I do like gambling in Planet Hollywood though at I seem to win more there!

Yeah i'm part of the Harrahs reward program thingy, only place near me is Harrah's Cherokee so have no option really. Planet Hollywood has some really decent rooms and it's on the strip. Their buffet is pretty good and cheap as well. It's definitely one of the nicer Harrah's properties. The dancers in the high roller section also are a nice distraction ;)

oh i tried that in some places and it didnt work. I only got one drink in the Monte Carlo.

there was 4000 rooms but maybe we did cross paths. If you saw someone walking around one day in and Ireland Italia 90 Jersey that was me. http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/m7z35dge3RLHA7nDMKaSsHA.jpg

finance wise it wasnt a great time to go from Ireland. the dollar the euro was near enough level. a few years back you go 1.40 dollars to a euro minimum but fuck it. i wasnt there to save money

Recently back from a week holiday with 10 lads who are all 23/24.

Stayed at the Vdara (inbetween Aria and Cosmopolitan - it's owned by Aria). Wasn't originally booked to stay here but Thomas Cook fucked things up with the MGM - when we checked in though we was buzzing. Boss hotel and literally 2 minutes from Aria for the Casino. We had suites with a view over the fountains - perfect for little after parties!

What a place though. Absolutely unreal.

We all saved up quite a bit (none of us are rich in the slightest but we don't skimp on our holidays) and booked tables / beds etc. for all pool parties and nights. It cost us a bit, but in my opinion to skip the ques and waiting in line with the chance of not getting in if you're a lad etc. I think it's definitely worth it. Plus having all your ale there for you ready and your own space. When you actually break it down it's not actually that much per head per night.

We done Hakkasan (first night I can't remember it but apparently was boss), Wet Republic (my best day), 1Oak (last minute decision after Wet Republic but wasn't the best), XS Night Swim (outrageous), Omnia (absolutely unreal club), Wet Republic at Night (was supposed to be a chilled day but after XS night swim we had too) and finally Drais (not usually a R&B fan but it was a belter night).

Within the week we had one chilled night Monday night. I say chilled but my mate got me up at 1am, we head down to a bar by Carnival Court. $2 for a corona, we'll have 4 a round please. Next thing you know it's 7am and we're playing blackjack with some hard looking Americans drinking Jack Daniels raw.

Me Ma reads these forums so unfortunately can't go into to much detail about the holiday. It was debauchery at it's finest though.

Trying to round some of the lads up to go again next year!

Going there in a few weeks and staying at the Vdara, we're only there for a few days. I've got to fit in the Grand Canyon, see fat Elvis and get some new clobber, where's the best place for shopping?

I'm flying out on Saturday, I expect to be in the air for the Man United game. Probably the best place to be!

Best piece of advice is when checking in they will ask for your credit card and id, photo driving licence is ideal, put a $20 bill in between, smile and ask nicely " have you got any complimentary upgrades", the $20 bill will disappear and you should get sorted!
I did it at the Bellagio last year with a $50 bill, we were there for 6 days and got a corner suite overlooking the strip and the fountains, no resort fee, no wi-fi fee and VIP breakfast pass !!
"The people who come to watch us play, who love the team and regard it as part of their lives, would never appreciate Liverpool having a huge balance in the bank. They want every asset we possess to be wearing a red shirt."

We Brits are too reserved and polite to do things like this but my american mate put me on to it and it has worked everywhere I have been in the States.

I booked a basic room for a good price at the Bellagio and got a corner suite, amazing room and hotel !!!

I have never seen  bank note move so fast !! The Bellagio was unbelievable, The Venetian is also superb, you just have to hunt around for prices and e-mail the hotels direct and play one against the other and you can save a fortune !! If ya can be bothered to do it !

Nobody on that part of the strip can afford to be anything other than excellent :)

Right, setting off now. Need to be at MGM for the fight and to celebrate the win vs United !

Last night tonight, done the Elvis renewal of wedding vows as a laugh, done the Grand Canyon and saw the Absinth, menopause and Million Dollar quartet shows, all very good. Las vegas overall, looking forward to leaving to be honest.

I loathe the overall culture and money grabbing concept, I suppose I should have known it before coming but had to experience it. I hate the c*nts who expect a tip when the service is shite, it's funny as fuck when you give them fuck all because they were shite and then face up to them when they try to challenge you. I know that sounds a bit arrogant, it's not supposed to, I think the whole culture of expecting you to arrive and throw money at everyone and everything is so wrong.

Would I come back? No fuckin' chance, off to San Francisco tomorrow. Viva las vegas - My arse!

Do both!

I have a great time on my lads trips, but it's full on debauchery for 5 days and by the end of it I'm truly fucked!!  At least with the missus you get to enjoy a show and take Vegas at a more relaxed pace.

I'm looking to go in January with my missus and another couple and then my best mate is looking to have his stag do there this time next year.  Looking to stop in a Terrace Suite at The Cosmopolitan in January.

Ah ok. Will pay for my older brother to do it for his 40th ;D

It's definitely down Fremont street. And there are two. Ones longer\higher than the other.
You're darn close to the Outlet Mall there too :)

"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Can anyone who's been gimmie some suggestions of stuff we can do that's fairly cheap?  Like around $20 per person?
