:lmao - you're banned. ;)

Seriously though, do we think there's a market for RAWK merchandise?? I know that it would be mainly RAWKites buying it like - or even mates/family of RAWKites who might get the joke or appreciate the link..........

If it's a go-er, some of the monies to RAWK maintenance, some to local charities, some to the Hillsborough cause?

Market research - a poll maybe? Where's Sarge? :D

(oh btw yes I'd buy stuff)

Fair enough - but it'd be our naff :) Hell, many things that raise money (at least partially) for charidee can be seen as pretty naff but also a bit fun.......maybe nearer to xmas eh?

Let me come up with a simple shirt design..

http://www.customink.com/designs/rawk/15750383-3416326/hotlink?cm_ven=hotlink&cm_cat=1&cm_pla=Body_txt&cm_ite=link1

I am horrible with these things but I hope you get the idea. Say a shirt costs 10. It can be sold for 15 with the rest going to charities/HJC et cetera..

Someon who can be arsed should hop on cafe press and stick something on there. You can get t shirts, mouse mats, mugs and a load of other stuff done.

On cafe press you don't have to bulk order. You stick on a design and that's it. Not sure how much they keep, though.

Ban Una Cerveza for personal abuse.

Also, we should get stuff made using Art Vandelay's thread, if the people who do the photoshop allow.

I suppose this has been done before, but I can't see a thread so...

Considering how much it must cost to run RAWK have you considered some advertising content? A tasteful (small) banner advert for a RAWK approved product (or even to the official website perhaps) would hardly be noticed by the bulk of posters, take advantage of the huge numbers of posters, help fund the costs of the site, future proof it to some degree and possibly even reward those involved.

What I have seen elsewhere that I thought was good was an Amazon referral link. Anyone wanting to buy something on Amazon clicked through to the site through the referral link and the host was rewarded for their successful advertising. It was worthwhile because it allowed the purchaser express his/her thanks without any real cost to themselves.

Amazon has a great affiliate program.  You can pick the item or items you want to promote, and you make a 4% commission for referring that customer to the Amazon site.  The other cool thing about Amazon is if the person you referred to the site purchases additional items while they're on that site, you get the commissions on those as well.

You could also look at using something as simple as Google Adsense.  I don't know how much traffic this site gets daily, but finding a way to integrate a simple Adsense banner on the page could generate the site somewhere in the ball park of £5-£10 per day.

Server costs are server costs, and every little bit would help.

There was many years ago, a brief fad, from offal of wearing a shirt with your member name on the back and that was shit then. So I still think its naff as and won't be supporting any move to manufacture car stickers/fridge magnets/personalised golf balls/tshirts/duvet covers with Barney's face on them/pint glasses with Pheeny's face on/mouse mat with Ben's face and the legend "Your browser is SHIT" on it/scarves/mugs/watches/hats/or wee minature mod dolls in a collectable set two free with Issue 1.
