Carragher Thread
« on: October 7, 2011, 11:55:40 am »
Someone calling Jamie Carragher a prick in a Liverpool Forum?

I mean there are a number of people who have beef with Carragher on here (which in my opinion is a joke but hey ho, they have their reasons I suppose).

But calling him a prick?

It's very difficult to bite your tongue in situations like that and not send out a volley of verbal abuse at the twat who wrote it. For which I'd imagine i'd probably get a ban.

I know its only the internet, and I know my input to the forum is hardly dickensian, but fuck me is that really what RAWK has come to?

you're attempts to trivialise it are laughable to be honest, its a joke and it definitely shouldn't be considered ok.

If I disagreed with a decision with Kenny and called him a prick, what do you reckon the reaction would be?

What about if I called Rafa a twat?

would we all just move on? I don't think so, there'd be uproar but because its carragher we just close the thread again and gloss over it.

Its a forum mate, people are not going to act how you do, or view players in the same light. Yes, the comment is digusting about one of our own, but you have to realise there are people who do not hold the club/players on that level, or act in a suitable manner.

Its something i have noticed. Even at the game there are different levels of fans, and views on how players should be treated. Ive heard comments over the last months hoping Kuyt breaks his leg at games and will someone snap carras leg to stop him hoofing.

Its disgusting, but so is sociaty and a forum this size is going to reflect that.

I understand what you're saying, I just don't think it should be accepted, whether at anfield or on here.

Ah well. point made I suppose. Hopefully the mods will come along and lock this before it turns into another carragher classic.

That's slightly disingenuous to RAWK Staff in all honesty - there's a lot of stuff we do that doesn't need to be publicised afterwards.

Often what you read is a cleaned-up version of mess left behind by others, sometimes what you see left up is the forum equivalent of a head on a spike - either way, whatever action is taken is not always detailed, it doesn't need to be.

As Kev said though, report to mod works - we all have access to the reports :wave

Stewy thanks for the report to mod, the poster in question has now got a very short mute.
