Very happy with how our squad is looking at the moment. Would love another central defender before september to top it off.
It's wonderful, it's marvellous, it's 3-3

Anything below 8M is a daylight robbery for me. Excellent signing and I can't wait to see how he links up with Downing on the left.

Major kudos to Kenny & Comolli for standing up their ground and refusing Newcastle's price at 15M at the start of the transfer window, of course Enrique's twitter rant helped but we are doing some good business this window and doing it our way. I also like the fact that we're not hiding from our problems, on the contrary, we are admitting there are some problems in some positions and trying to correct them. I absolutely love our direction in this transfer window.

Welcome to Liverpool, Jose. YNWA mate.

Is Enrique driving a left hand drive there? Or does it just look like he's steering?

Great signing, and with a little political spin in makes the Carroll deal seem better value.

£40million for Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique from Newcastle United.
I agreed with you...de deal is nicer now...2 good players for $40 is not bad.

I think we have multiple possibilities on the flanks now...

On the left we might see
LBs - Enrique, Aurelio, Insua, Robinson, Agger (worst case)
LMs - Downing, Aurelio, Suarez

On the right though the possibilities are even better.
RBs - Johnson, Kelly, Flanagan, Carra (worst case)
RMs - Kuyt, Downing, Henderson, Gerrard, Suarez

Pretty sure Enrique could do a job at LM too

Welcome lad, welcome. This move is smart for him and us, with regular first team football under the King there is no reason why he would not get a look for the spanish national team. and we get a talented left back with a left foot to boot.
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

I had exactly the same trio in my team with Enrique as a sub but i was reading and they will make you transfer out one player in this case.

I would partially agree with that. I still think a backup striker might be needed. CB is definitely a concern , but I wouldn't be unhappy if we didn't add anyone new. I would prefer we did, but I think for their first real transfer window, FSC has have done fantastic. You can't plug all the holes in one go.

Really happy with what they've done so far.  Would be amazing if we did go & sign a CB (that lad from Boltons not bad  ;)) this window & maybe a back up striker.

When Enrique finally signs, I think we will have done a very good job this transfer window. All key positions (LB, LM, RM) have been addressed for sure, plus CM. We will have a better age structure in all those positions too. So from now on, it will be a lot easier for Kenny to choose where to spend next. This will limit our real concerns to CB (plus the general sale that needs to happen).

Without putting too much expectations on Enrique, his age is almost perfect for us, he played a high number of PL games last season and he's got some pace as well. We get him, a much needed reliable first pick, without paying over the top. LB was a key signing for us and now (soon) it's done. Very pleased with this one.

What I like about all the players Liverpool have brought in is, that not one of them has shouted their mouth off about their impending transfer. When they have been spoken to by the media, they have only ever spoken about their present clubs!!!

Would he last a season though?  I agree with you though bud. Just concerned that he'll play half our games at best.

That is why we have Aurelio to play a third of our games. Don't forget Robbo though, we want him to get experience as well. Perfect signing for us. :)

This guy is another astute signing just like Adam from Comolli/Kenny. Low outlay but if they come good, we would be over the top.
