The balance in the England team was shocking.

No creativity in that midfield, so that meant Rooney had to drop deep to get the ball.

Then England got the ball down the wings, and crossed the ball in, and Rooney was no where to be seen.

4th best team in the world though  ;D

What was the reaction in the media after the loss on friday?

Not really sure what you're getting at. Are you denying that we didn't deserve either of the points we got? It's got nothing to do with the style of play, we just played poorly. I don't even think we have the players to play more expansive football, but we were just poor in them two games.
We should have won the first but for crap finishing and against Russia we were battered and were lucky to get a point.
Not too sure how thinking like that has kept us from qualifying for tournaments.
The negative attitude the country has is shocking. You may not think that matters but how can it help when everybody is doubting the manager? Do you think the players don't see this? You would all be quick in criticising the English fans and media but you're no different in that respect.

Football really pisses me off sometimes, especially international.

Wales performed very well indeed?

They were shit and got one chance which they howlingly missed.

England should and could have put more past them and settled the game far sooner.

Giving Wales credit for that is stupid, if Wales fans are happy with that then that maybe a root of their problems

I'm English and normally don't make an effort to watch them because its normally duller than ditch water. I watched the 2nd half tonight and the last half hour was true to form. Wales were the better team in that last 30.

It displayed why England will win exactly nothing in either mine or your lifetime. Lost shape and energy and made all the wrong subs at the wrong time - still, suppose they won for those who actually give a shite.

Anyway, bollocks to Engerlund and International footy. Let's get the priorities right. How did we (Liverpool) fare in the injury department?

What was the reaction in the media after the loss on friday?

That we were shit. Oscar Wendt "had the worst performance ever seen, by any player, during the 21st centuary so far" (said the most respected journo in the country). Wendt was in the stands for tonight's game. Poor lad, got a lot of the blame from media. But Ibra didn't want to point finger, he just said that Hungary wasn't good, and that we were..

But overall, Hungary wasn't very good at all, but we were woeful.

Why can't England produce playmakers? There are enough technically able kids out there. There's probably kids out there who have that, and also game intelligence. I actually can't think of any English playmaker.

Penny for Torres' thoughts?

Reading rumours on twitter the other day that he's been saying moving to Chelsea was worst decision he's ever made. Can believe it to be honest, has any footballer's career gone so downhill so fast?

What the fuck!?  Earnie should have scored and that should have been a draw, away to England!  This is Wales, a team rated 894th in the FIFA rankings, haven't won a game bar the Montenegro match in donkeys years.  Made England look very very poor in the second half, a team that is ranked 4th in the FIFA rankings.

Wales played well and passed well, yep they lost but perhaps they shouldn't have.  A young team lacking in experience devoid of the one centre forward that is internationally renowned.  Fucking right they deserve credit.  Played with pride and passion.  The future's bright as far as I can see.

Oh i dunno, i thought Downing coming off was inspirational :)

...anyways, i don't think England were weak tonight because of their subs, more to do with the set up, there was no playmaker or support midfielder to our attack.

We fucking dominated you, you tool. You couldn't get the ball off us in the 2nd half. If you're happy with that as an Englishmen then there's something very wrong with you. Compared to the performances and shite that we've been producing the last 2 years that was a much improved performance by us and we had the apparent 4th best team in the world hoofing the ball to no one to get it clear!

Because any kid who runs 15 yards with the ball is yelled at and told to lump it up,it's the british way of "playing football"

That's why there is all sorts of rough tacklers and hoofers and not much flair.
