Advice on a mobile phone repair
« on: August 20, 2010, 06:13:37 pm »
Basically, I bought a new Samsung Wave last month. Last week it started turning itself off on its own, and on turning it back on again the phone immedietly turns itself off again and resets itself. Thus rendering the phone pretty useless.

Samsung told me to send it to them for reapir, which I did so, and received the phone back today with a letter telling me it was fixed.
On turning the phone back on again, the phone now reaches the main screen, but if I try to go into create a new message or anything, the phone turns itself off again and resets itself.

Overall, very annoying seeing as this wasn't a cheap phone!

Now do any of you have advice on whether I should pressure Samsung into giving me a new phone seeing as they haven't fixed it as promised? In the letter they sent me back I was told the repair work had a 30 day guarentee.

Am I covered under any laws etc?

The warrenty with the phone told me it has a 2 year one.

Any advice would be great!
Thanks
