Some players should be ashamed with themselves. Andy Carroll be proud of yourself, true fight and desire well done.

The FA were adamant Suarez was not to get a winners medal after all.

Sure they'll be having a little chuckle with their gin at the moment.

Yes. It was the FA's fault we played like complete shite for 60 minutes.

I feel fucking robbed.

That goal was in.

Also, anyone thinking of buying Jordan Henderson a cow and/or a banjo for Christmas, just.....don't.

He couldn't hit the arse end of one with the other, no matter how often he tries.
Lol...Do you know the rules... The ball should completely cross the line and it clearly didn't.... Great work by the linesman...

Well since it was a cup final I expected our players to be motivated till no end.

Sadly some werent arsed.... After really bad perfromances Kenny always said, only the players with the right character will get the nod.
Strange that his first eleven didnt mirrored that so far

First half Gerrard started playing to deep his usual lack of discipline so Suarez was isolated, goal was as much Enrique's  fault as jays! Positives Andy and if we win a trophy in every shit season well than think what we will do in a good one , onwards following Kenny and the lads we are not far away going by the last thirty minutes, as for in here bye got beer to drink!

• The ball was over the line.

 • Andy Carroll was absolutely immense.

 • Jay Spearing is horrific. Lucas cannot get back soon enough.

 • Disappointing end to a horrible, horrible season.

 • (shut the fuck up about Rafa)

Agree with all points except for Rafa. While I'm not a "bring Rafa back brigade member" I think we need a change at the top. Spearing should not have been in the team and since we are out of games ast season end we should have played our best team against Fulham in preparation for final. Going in on. A loss was not good, same for Chelsea.
Who would be a better manager, I don't know. They are out there though.

By the words of the law, it wasn't a goal. It just wasn't.

And that's okay.
Don't get me wrong, I was angry, frustrated, raging and all that when it happened and at the end of the match.
But having returned from a long, long walk, I've calmed.

I thought for the last 30 minutes we were exceptional, honestly if we'd played like that all match we would have walked over them. Is it frustrating that we didn't? That we couldn't take a second trophy? Sure.
But those of you calling for Kenny's head can fuck right off. We got to two finals in HIS FIRST FULL SEASON. Sure our league position has dropped yet again, but the man is a club legend, the man himself is a legend and he's already handling pressure from the press, the last thing he needs is it coming from the clubs fans too.

I'm not saying he's beyond criticism, obviously he's not, and not starting Carroll turned out to be a poor choice. However, I'll repeat. FIRST FULL SEASON. He at the very least deserves another one to try and stamp his mark.
Personally, I'll be behind him all the way, and eventually the glory days will return to Anfield.

It'll happen eventually. We're Liverpool. We don't have plastic flags or plastic players or plastic fans. We're fucking Liverpool, and we'll get back to the top.

First goal was shocking. Don't know why Ramirez was so godamn OPEN... And Reina, I'm not sure he was even trying to save it....Like he was sort of trying to nick it wide, assuming it was already going wide. I don't know; maybe be didn't realise where his goal was.

The second Andy Carrol goal was definitely over the line.

I don't think Dirk Kuyt deserves this kind of treatment. He won us the last cup. He should have played from the beginning. Don't know what Kenny has against him....And I don't buy the "he didn't prove himself the other day when he played with the reserves argument." They were youngsters and reserves. End of. Put him in a decent side and he could really make a difference. And the great thing about Dirk is that he often chips in defensively...There's a player who will play ANYWHERE.

I really love Kenny but I think he needs to reconsider some of his starting decisions.

Thought the same but the ball is over the goal-line from the pictures I've seen and that's disregarding the fact that the camera isn't even in line with it.

It was a poor performance for the first 50-60 mins, that much is true.  But Chelsea didn't do much.  They controlled possession but failed to really create many chances (the goals aside).

The final 30 were very good from Liverpool.  Lots of balls into the box and as much as people lay into downing, I thought his crossing was superb in that spell after Carroll came on.  It's what has been missing.

Goal, I reckon was in, but it was very borderline.  We should have done more earlier.

Regardless of the performance, I think 4-5-1 was the right choice as it made sense to try to dominate midfield.  Sadly, Spearing had a poor game, Henderson looked nervous and Gerrard failed to push forward.  Lucas back will change everything and we need another Lucas type holding mid as backup.

Really gutted, but the fans and Andy Carroll did us proud.

terrible decision. much like how chelsea got to the final!   it was over the line, the linesman guessed and got it wrong.  he should not be a referees assistant ever again. even if by some wangling of cgi the ball isnt over. the bottom line is that he GUESSED. and that shouldnt happen.

Why the hell, for the last few years, can we only seem to start playing well when we have our back against the wall.
Was like that under Rafa a lot as well, play like shit against small teams and for the first 60min or so of most games and then spring into live when we are a couple goals down.
Is it a lack of motivation? Surely putting on a Liverpool shirt and walking out on the pitch infront of thousands of fans with millions watching at home should be enough!
I honestly think a big part of our problem is psychological, the team doesnt seem to perform unless we are underdogs or have what is basically a lost game on our hand.

Screw buying a back up/partner for Lucas, Screw getting more firepower upfront and Screw buying a new winger.
Lets spend our budget on the worlds best sports psychiatrists! Maybe that will get the lads sorted mentally, because we have shown we can play football at times but dont seem arsed to do most of the time.

The first hour was an emabarrassment. No pace at all and a midfield horror show. However if you rely on a championship player in Spearing and a young lad in Henderson who seems to have no idea what his role is, as your central midfield, then you're on to a loser. Kenny thought "wee Jay" could step in for Lucas - nobody else did and we were right. Downing will never be a Liverpool player as he has not got the mental strength to impose himself. The only redeeming factor is the cameo by Carroll. Get this lad to watch that 35 minutes a few times, buy him a couple of skillful, purposeful wingers and a midfield player who can take people on and thread a thread a pass, and we will be in business next seaon - if only.

Chelsea deserved it as we gave the game on a platter to them until Carroll came on. It's just been a typical performance of many from the season for us. Whether it's the management's fault on selection of players or tactics or the players themselves it's just been a big mess. Roll on the remaining fixtures and then roll on the summertime.
Ahh, pressing refresh and waiting for news... just like the bad old days.

Not that it matters now, it wasn't given and would have been difficult for the linesman to see from his angle, but for me was a goal.

Goal line technology cannot come soon enough - would have seen us playing extra time (probably).

EDIT: Not obvious in the above pic as I cropped it too much, but drawn line follows line up to other side of goal.

Your backpost is getting thinner more higher it gets.

The second worst thing about losing that is that we have to play early qualification rounds of the fucking europa league this summer.  Players won't get any rest with the euros and olympics and a North American tour and early EL rounds to play.  we better buy up in the summer.

I'm shattered right now.

We made some mistakes that cost us the game and we lost the final more than Chelsea won it.

Despite everything I'm proud of the players. I'm sure they did all they could and now is not the time to slate them. Kenny made some mistakes with the starting lineup but I still love the man. He has given everything he has for this club down the years.

I despise some of Chelsea's players, some of their fans and what they represent. We just lost to them and that hurts. We will always have more class than that plastic imitation of a football club that is for certain.

I'm out of words.

Whether it was in or out, we can't leave it up to the refs. We've lost because of refs before, but this isn't the case. We could've played better and if we played the whole game like we did the last 45 minutes we would've won 4-2. End.

Bad decision about the goal, but we were horribly poor for 60 minutes. I think that Henderson shows flashes of technical excellence, but overall this wasn't a good game for him, and really he shouldn't be a regular in the team - he's someone who's building up his experience for future years, not someone we should be relying on week in week out.

The problem with Downing, in my opinion, is that he's simply far too predictable. He very rarely takes players on, and the crosses that he puts in are very easily read. He doesn't have an idea of where his teammates are, and as a result he wastes far too many balls. As has been said time and time again, we need better decision making and  more game intelligence. Given that, Downing simply can't be a part of our future.

I know we were pretty shite for the first 50 odd minutes but they were no fucking better despite Chris Twaddle saying that they were dominating. I don't recall Pepe having a safe to make until that free kick from Lampard.
Jay Spearing lost the ball and Enrique got caught out for their first goal and their second goal was no better with poor pressing in midfield and poor defending from Skertl.

Fair play Andy Carroll - you came on and had a massive impact. That was some first goal and you worked your bollocks off chasing the ball. I thought that the ball was in for the 'second' goal.

Too many players didn't play well today....(they were still fucking shite)

If the right descisions were made last summer then we would be in 4th or 3rd. I think we need to bring in atleast 4 players (CDM, 2 wingers and a striker) to challenge for fourth
