I wouldn't.  In my opinion its a straight fight for sixth, we win, they lose,we go above them with the derby to come.

Fuck that. As long as there's a chance for top 4 I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Tottenham without bale for a couple of games and Chelsea looking shaky in the league under agent Rafa. I won't give up til it's mathematically impossible.

It would be nice to have some realism on this board at times. They gave Tottenham a good game and won 2 of their previous 3. We struggle against physical teams and West Ham are one.

Every week it's the same shite on here about scoring loads of goals only to set yourselves up for disappointment. I think a hard fought 2-1, personally.
This season we've been struggling at set pieces in general not only against physical teams.

I can see West Ham parking the bus so we need Coutinho's incision more than anything against those teams.

Eurgh, funny feeling on this one. THe kind of game we've been turned over in this season before so I really, really hope we've learned from it.

Both situations are a win win for us.

Coutinho and Suarez will open them if they sit deep, andSuarez, Sturridge and Coutinho will destroy them if they press us high given they will be out of balance with slow defenders.

We can't control the game how we'd like without the extra man in midfield. We need Henderson's legs more than we need Sturridge.

Would rather Everton win so we can 6 pts off third. Regardless, we desperately just need to win and keep winning until the end of the season.

While that doesn't seem like a huge amount to make up - consistency hasn't been our strong point this season and when push comes to shove do the players have the mentality to make it to 4th. The pressure has been off most of this season, it was always going to be one with us in transition (again!), when we needed to start the season well we only took 16 points from the first 14 games. Maybe it's down to the arrival of new players and about adjusting to the system but I think the fact we were lingering around midtable before December and only improved after that point suggests the players were told to relax and that the pressure's off. If we beat Aston Villa on December 15th we would have been 2 points off 4th despite a terrible start to the season but that sums us up in recent years - all about ifs and buts - we never capitalise.
