Any of the top 4 or Everton away to kick off the season will do me.

Is it not a given that the PL Champions end up with the Championship winners at home?

I predict Swansea.
Nope, City started away against Newcastle and before that United started away at Swansea

United away for our first game.

I'd be happy with that as long as Aldo mixes up his penalties. He always goes to the keepers left and if it happens in the Cup Final, he'll get found out.

And it appears, if it is not already on the thread, that June 17th is when the EPL Schedule comes out, no?

Fixtures 2015/16
« Reply #57 on: June 10, 2015, 09:07:50 am »
I have looked through several sections trying to find a thread that I can add my question to, and have failed, so have taken a chance and started a new one.... (Mods, delete if you want)

I know that the PL fixtures are due out on the 17th June, and then Sky/BT will mess around with them after that. And no doubt soon there will be a thread about who people think we will get first etc - as usual. This isn't that!

I am trying to find a "safe date" for an event in November and notice that the weekend of Nov 13-17th is ear-marked as possible Euro 2016 play-off matches. Does anyone know if this means that there will DEFINITELY be no PL matches put in for that weekend? Hence Sat 15th would be"safe"? :D Common sense would say so, but this is UEFA/the FA! ;)

I have tried various sites for a definitive list of England dates which usually does the trick but cannot find confirmation of this.

Many thanks :wave

For no particular reason, I will predict a couple of fixtures:

Opening Day: Watford (A)
2nd game: Man City (H)
3rd game: Aston Villa (A)

Boxing Day: Bournemouth (A)

Final Day: Sunderland (H)

I know the feeling from a few years ago. http://www.thefa.com/england/mens-seniors/fixtures doesn't hold anything but the assumption seems sound. I add to that though the caveat that nothing can be second guessed with any of this :)

Aren't we meant to have asked to be away the first two games?

Also, they usually organise fairly local games where possible for teams on Boxing Day I think.

I honestly want all the so called big team as soon as possible. Even if we get shit results from them, we have a whole season to make up for it. Plus post January is where our season really kicks off in terms of performance. In an ideal world, it would be great if the last five fixtures of the season didn't include a top five/six team. This way there is less pressure on us finishing the season on a high, especially if we are somehow in contention for the Champions League places.

Though saying that, we only had Chelsea as a big team in our last five games in the season just gone by and we still did shit (3 losses, a draw and a win).

Hi All, I will be in England in 3rd week of September (19th-20th Sep to be exact) and I desperately want to see our reds in action in Anfield or any away stadium during that Premier league weekend. I remember that sometime in September there is an international break. Can it happen during the 3rd week of Sep? Please suggest, so that I can adjust my travel plans accordingly.

That weekend should be safe.  It's a FIFA match weekend. UEFA use it for friendlies or playoffs. And England are playing France that weekend.

So no Premier League matches then.
