Squad Numbers

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or something but I was interested to know when the squad numbers get released for next season?

I bought the new home shirt earlier and wanted to get Sturridge on the back but I released that it wouldn't be a surprise if he was give the number 9 shirt next year rather than 23. Does anyone know when they get announced?

Interesting that 4, 6, 9, 13, 17, 18 are all spare now! Possibly 11 and 12 if Assaidi and Pacheco leave?

I'm not sure if Aspas or Alberto will get 9 though, too big a number?

Haha, so no one knows then! I leave to live in america in four weeks so I hope it's before then so I can get a name on the back. Unless you can get the names done on the back over there, I should probably research this.

Should do a football manager and clear all the squad numbers are reassign at the start of the season.

Usually announced before our last pre-season game mate, so beginning of August is a decent-ish guesstimate.

I may be totally off, but from my time in the UK, I imagine in larger sports stores like Sports Direct you can buy a jersey and have them print a name/number on the back? Here, there are plenty of places you could print a name/number but your problem would be finding the Premier League style lettering/numbers. I'm sure there are some specialty soccer :) (football) stores that do it, but off the top of my head, I can't think of any major sport store retailers that do. Then again, most of them hardly carry any team apparel anyway.   

Where are you going to be? In some of the more football mad areas, your chances obviously go up.

Yeah, it's common. Certainly you can get them online (and for cheaper than in England).

I can't think of the last time an exisiting squad member changed his number to a 1-11 number.

Gerrard from 17 to 8 and Riise 18 to 6 in 2004 is the last one I can think of but there must be a closer example. Other clubs do it all the time

Pennsylvania near Harrisburg but I'll certainly be day tripping to pittsburgh and philly and probably all the other majoy east coast cities. Yeah, I looked on a few of the bigger US chain stores but most of them don't do replica shirts, just shinpads and boots etc.

I've also found a place where you can buy loose official prem letters and numbers. Reckon regular sports stores would stick em on for a small fee?

I would like to see Alberto get 9, but only if Assaidi leaves, freeing up 11 for Aspas. Tour้ will probably go for 28, and Mignolet 22 likewise. Should Suarez leave and Mkhi join then 7 is the number. Papadopoulos seems to like 4, and I'd like to see maybe Skrtel given the vacant 6, and I'd give Kelly the 23 shirt.

Also Arbeloa swapped 2 for 17, and Benayoun 11 to 15, taking their lucky numbers. Aurelio originally had 12 and took 6 when he re-signed.
