Anyone going to Portland Oregon:

http://www.442soccerbar.com/

NW corner of SE. 18th and Hawthorne

Small pub but filled with scarves, flags, players shirts. Any football ( soccer) match will be on there.

They do not open for the 4:30 am kickoffs though. They record it and show it a bit later. Call for the time. ( I think 7 am)

Owner is a Liverpool supporter.

Anyone in the local area, talk to the owner as they are looking into getting an Official Liverpool supporters branch for Portland. He knows the lad who wants to start one.

Great place that 4pool, a real international football culture vibe, the South American games just as popular as the European. I've been there many times but never knew the fellas were Liverpool fans (Slovenians Bosnians looked at the website aren't they I think?), the food's lovely too.

if you know any Everton fans in PDX there's a blue pub opening called toffeeclub, the lads and lasses who run it are sound - apart from being blues like :D

Bravo on another excellent TV thread 4pool (was just about to post the EL Final).

By the way - I think the EL game itself starts at 2:45p - the buildup show is at 2:30p - though I'm hoping it will actually begin at 2pm.

You could be correct on the 2 pm prematch.

As for Sunday..all matches start at the same time. So we'll see which ones, if any, get moved to other NBC platforms.

Anyone going to a bar in DC for the EL final? I was thinking Lucky Bar - trying to rustle up some folks - but happy to meet others.  I think it will fill up early - so you'd need to be there by 1pm to get space.

Yeah was hoping to make it there - but it's the wrong way for me that day. I've seen Facebook pics of the supporters group there and it seems fun. I'll be stuck with Lucky Bar - but the owner has always been good to Reds when it's a big game.

What a blessing it's on ESPN.  Fox for the Copa should be great, will they tie in some Donald Drumpf coverage?  I'll forgive Fox for sticking us with John Strong and Alexi fcking Lalas for the entirety of our Europa run sometime in 2076.  Fucking Fox, SMASH CUT to commercials then NASCAR practice after LFC-Dortmund, didn't stick around one second for the scenes.  Fucking Fox.

Sorry, where was I?  Thanks as always 4pool!

Liverpool FC can today announce they will contest an extra game during the club’s time in the USA this summer.

On Monday August 1, the Reds will play AS Roma at the Busch Stadium, home to one of America’s most successful baseball teams, the St Louis Cardinals - 11-time World Series champions.

The friendly with the Italian side will kick-off at 7.30pm (Central Time) and is not part of the ICC tournament, which Liverpool will also be competing in during their pre-season programme.

The news was confirmed at an event at Busch Stadium today attended by LFC legend Phil Babb, Bruno Conti representing AS Roma, chairman of Relevent Sports Charlie Stillitano, St Louis Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III, as well as Mayor of St Louis, Francis Slay.

Billy Hogan, LFC’s chief commercial officer, said: “We’re very much looking forward to seeing our fans from Missouri and the wider Midwest in St Louis.

“Busch Stadium has played host to many fantastic events from MLB All-Star games to concerts to World Series games, so it’s only fitting that an historic club like Liverpool FC should play there when visiting this terrific sports city.”

Stillitano, chairman of Relevent Sports - the organisers of the game - said: “Year in and year out, both AS Roma and Liverpool field ultra-competitive rosters in their respective leagues.

“Pairing them with a city so rich in professional sports history like St Louis is a perfect fit, as the city has hosted numerous soccer matches over the years. St Louis has a passionate base of soccer fans that always support these great matchups, and we are thrilled at the opportunity to continue spreading the game of soccer to this wonderful city.”

Priority ticket access will be given to Members and official supporters’ clubs. Tickets will then go on general sale on Wednesday June 8 at 4pm UK time via www.Cardinals.com/soccer.
