Well we haven't organised one for over a year (I used to post as Le Boss btw) so it's time for the HJC Pool tournament 2004

This year will be bigger and better.  We have twice as many pool tables (regular size tables, not american size) and more than twice as many prizes.

Prizes include :
Signed program by Steven Gerrard
Video - Goal Rush
Signed photo of Stephan Henchoz
Signed photo of Danny Murphy
Signed photo of Steve Nicholl x2
Signed program by Jerzy Dudek
HJC Scarves x3
Car Stickers x8
Words Of Tribute x2
Book - Cup Kings x1
Book - Liverpool 1988 Champions
Book - One boy and his kop x2
Book - My youth my kop x2
Black HJC polo shirt
Ray Kennedy HJC t-shirt
Kenny Daglish HJC t-shirt
Shankly man of the people t-shirt
Paisley the untouchables t-shirt
HJC scum t-shirt
Kop Stories x5
3 cups for the kop x2
This Is Anfield - George Sephton
HJC keyrings x10

The Date : 4th July

The Time : 2:30pm onwards

The Place : 'Clerkenwell House' which is a bar in Hatton Wall, just off the well known diamond and jewellery steet Hatton Gardens.  They
serve good food and they will be showing the final of Euro 2004 at 7:45.  We will be finished in plenty of time.

Tube/Rail: Farringdon

Map : http://www.londontown.com/LondonInformation/Bars_and_Clubs/Clerkenwell_House/be29/

Address : 23-27 Hatton Wall, EC1

The Format : As per last time, the tables will be split between an (FA cup style) knockout tournament leading
to a grand final and an eventual winner and tables where games of killer will be played.  It will be £10 to
enter the knockout pool and £5 to enter each game of killer which will will give you 3 lives.  Extra lives
may be bought during play (ie any time before losing your last life) for an extra £5.

KennyVialli, if people could let us know if they are coming so I could get an idea of numbers it would be appreciated but it's not necessary.

As for the scran, the bar has a good kitchen with decent priced food.

See you there?

Murf, I think a HJC pool tourno in Liverpool would be a great idea

This is our second one in London and the plan is to have one every year

If somebody wants to start one in Liverpool I will be happy to give advice on structure, format, venue etc.

Murf, perhaps you might want to start by scoping a venue and talking to the manager there to see if they would be up for hosting it

Two main criteria :

1 - Can you get the tables on free play on the day you might want it
2 - Facilities.  Are there enough tables?  Does the bar serve food?  Is the location nice and central? etc.
